Responsible Play

Play smart. Stay in control.

Poker is a game of skill, but it involves real financial risk. We want every player to have a positive experience. Please read this page carefully.

Play Within Your Means

Never play with money you cannot afford to lose. Set a budget before you sit down and stick to it. If you find yourself depositing more than you planned, take a break.

Signs of Problem Play

Be honest with yourself. Seek help if you:

  • Chase losses by playing higher stakes or longer sessions
  • Play under the influence of alcohol or strong emotions
  • Neglect work, relationships, or responsibilities because of poker
  • Borrow money or sell assets to fund your play
  • Feel anxious, irritable, or depressed related to your results

Built-in Safeguards

Chain Hold'em includes several safeguards by design:

  • Deposit cap — the smart contract enforces a maximum deposit per transaction (currently 30 USDC).
  • Micro stakes only — during soft launch, only the lowest stake level ($0.10/$0.20 blinds) is available.
  • Heads-up only — 1v1 format prevents the fast losses that can occur in multi-player games.
  • Allowlist — access is currently invitation-only, limiting exposure.

Self-Exclusion

If you need to stop playing, you can withdraw all funds at any time. During the soft launch phase, you can also request removal from the allowlist by contacting us. Once removed, you will not be able to deposit or join tables.

Help Resources

If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, these organizations can help:

Age Restriction

You must be at least 18 years old to use Chain Hold'em. If we become aware that a minor is using the Platform, access will be revoked immediately.
